Are you Ready for the UpComing Election?
The Asawa SOTA PTSA has put together this page to help us become informed on the issues that affect education and our school. Information currently shown on this page is from the elections in 2016. Please stay tuned as we update this page for upcoming elections in November 2018.
Our PTSA is a 501c3 organization, and as such, may take positions on issues and not candidates. Taking positions on candidates would jeopardize our tax-exempt status. We are also a non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-commercial organization.
The National PTA takes positions on federal issues, the State PTA takes positions on state issues, the District PTA takes positions on issues affecting the entire district, and Unit PTAs (school sites) may take positions on issues that affect their direct community.
